The Office of Communications of Guangdong Province recently revealed that Guangdong Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile, has so far deployed a total of 4,104 TD-SCDMA base stations in the province, according to Xinhua News. Of the total number, Guangzhou claims 2,116 and Shenzhen 1,988, including 91 base stations in Dongguan. Overall investment in this region is valued at around five billion RMB (US$714.90 million; US$1=6.99 RMB), also according to Xinhua News.
